It was a difficult backend of the season on the Gaula. Low water, high water temperatures and fewer fish in the pools made fishing difficult, especially in the first half of August. But as the water started raising on the 15th of August to 676 cubic meters per second on the Gaulfossen the fishing got a bit better. For example, Rene Didßun landed a nice salmon of approx. 11.4 kg on Beat A1 and a grilse of approx. 2 kg on the same day. Jarle Haukvik, Harri Jäntti and Thies Reimers also landed a grilse of approx. 2 kg each that day.
