Fly fishing for Taimen is at the top of the wish list for many fishermen and we are pleased to be able to offer you the two best destinations: It was particularly important to us to support sustainable fishing and thus to protect both the Taimen and to guarantee you an unforgettable fishery. Many Taimen waters are overfished and the stocks have been impacted heavily.

This is not the case with the waters that we offer you! Only catch & release, and only fishing with the fly and barbless single hooks are allowed. Due to the high age of the taimen, it takes a long time for removed fish to be replaced by new ones of equal size – in this respect, the sustainability of the fishery is of particular importance. It is important to preserve these last really healthy habitats of the Taimen and that is why we work with an international company that works closely with local administrations, nature conservation organizations and the neighboring communities. Programs to involve local residents have a positive effect and this is the only way to ensure that this particular fish is effectively protected.

In the upper reaches of a river, whose name will not not be mentioned here, you will find untouched nature and a unique chance to catch the largest of all salmonids. The Taimen grow here to a size of up to 150 cm and reach an age of over 50 years! To reach this untouched nature, you will be flown out by plane or helicopter and then continue by boat. You fish a different section of the river every day and a fully equipped camp is ready for you in the evening.

The accommodations at the Taimen Upper River Program are a bit more comfortable than the camps in the lower river. You live in heated tents right on the river and the first-class food is prepared daily around the campfire. The next day everything is dismantled and taken by car to the next camp further downstream. In the meantime, you and 2 people are fishing on unfished water from the boat and in the evening, everything is ready for a pleasant night when you arrive. A fantastic adventure in untouched nature!
