We are very pleased to announce that Argentina will open its borders to international travelers from November 1st, 2021. This means that Las Buitreras opens for the 2022 season and you now have the opportunity to dive straight from the winter here into the wonderful spring in South America. After the lodge was closed for a season and a half due to Corona, there is a lot of catching up to do in the 2022 season. When Las Buitreras opens for the 2022 season it will be a special season in many ways.

Las Buitreras Meerforelle Rio Gallegos

For those who haven’t decided yet whether they want to fish the Rio Gallegos this year or next, there are good news: there are still a few rods available here and there! Also in the coming season there are some very interesting extension offers for those who want to extend their trip by a few days. For example 3 days in “Zone Zero” while staying at Las Buitreras Lodge, or 3 days at the new Glencross brown trout program which is an hour and a half drive north of Las Buitreras. A limited number of 3-day packages are also available from March for those wanting to try their luck on the Santa Cruz Atlantic Steelheads. Another option is to combine it with fishing for giant rainbow trout at Jurassic Lake.
