Another season on the Gaula has ended and we can say that it was a very successful season at the Gaula and in particular on the NFC beats.

A total of 6418 salmon with a total weight of 34.192 kg/ 75,393 lb. were caught during the successful season at the Gaula (as of September 5th, 2022) and we are sure that a few more fish will be reported in the next few days.

This season was particularly characterized by the long-lasting high-water levels, which gave the NFC guests first-class fishing for large parts of the season.

But fishing in the final weeks of the season has been anything but easy. The fish did not seem to be active despite good to very good water levels and the lack of late running fresh fish made it difficult to catch one of the coveted Gaula salmon. Nevertheless, some good fish were caught on the NFC Beats in the last few weeks of the season, of which we would like to present a small selection here.

Uwe Sollfrank fished the NFC Beats for the first time and landed, among others, this beautiful, fresh salmon weighing around 6 kg/ 13 lb on the Beat C2.

Christian Tamcke fished the last days of the season on the NFC Beats and landed 5 salmon. He started the week right on Monday with an impressive large cock fish. Christian got a bite on Beat A1 and after a few seconds it was clear that a really big fish had taken the fly. After an exciting fight, Christian was able to safely land the impressive male of 113 cm.
